About Us

"Follow me" - Matthew 4:18-20 -As He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. And He said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
Without hesitation, the earliest disciples of Jesus responded to these words of their Rabbi and followed Him into a journey beyond the limits of their imagination, full of the staggering light of God's plan for their lives. Today, 2000 years later, God continues to call men and women to follow His Son and to discover His loving plan for them.
In response to the Second Vatican Council's call for renewal in the study of Scripture, the Catholic Biblical School of Denver was founded to give adults the tools and skills they need to hear anew the invitation of their Master in the pages of the Bible-and so follow Him. Since then, many Biblical School students too have found themselves in the footsteps of their Master.
Here at the Biblical School, we have assembled a first-rate team of experienced instructors with a deep love for the Catholic faith. Through lectures, small-group discussions and weekly coursework, they will guide you through the Bible and demonstrate the relevance of God's Living Word in the world today. In addition, the Biblical School offers prayer days and retreats throughout the year, pilgrimages to the Holy Land and to Greece, as well as continuing education for graduates of the School.
Our 4-year program will cover the Bible in its entirety. First-year students trace the Biblical story through the historical books of the Old Testament. This exploration will make the books and the characters you encounter come alive! Nourished by the borderless wisdom of the Catholic Tradition and the fruits of current biblical scholarship, you will find these stories, whether familiar or new, as relevant for us today as it was for their audiences of old.

Check out the Catholic Biblical School's new blog, "Odos". A Greek word meaning "way" or "road". As Catholics, we are all called to follow the "Way of the Lord", as Jesus continually calls us to do in the Gospels. But what does this mean to a typical Catholic trying to live in the modern world? Our hosted by our instructors and the staff of the Denver Catholic Biblical and Catechetical Schools. Our goal is to seek to explore the questions of how to live the Catholic faith in this modern world by using Sacred Scripture and the living tradition of the Catholic Church. Come take a look, and share with friends and family.
